Blanket Quest 2006: Zozobra Revisited

Half an inch of rain, 50 degrees of gut wrenching anticipation. "Will he burn?" and "What will happen if he does not burn? These were the philosophical questions being asked at this years zozobra. Dodging umbrella's in "Legend of Zelda like" fashion, our weary group made it just in time to see him burn. The resulting smoke and mud that surrounded the field made for a "London Fog/Swap" feeling. Mud fights ensued and mock throw downs were the norm. The Plaza was blocked off, and for those who made the trek to the field from beyond the park had to navigate the labyrinth of back streets and alleys along the raging Santa Fe river.

Oh and did I forget the dilemma: to save the mystery tie-dyed blanket. I returned home before this one could be answered.

He Burned. And we burn a little with him.
